Tamar O&G offers our North and North West patients access to GPs with a specific interest in Women's health. Their role is to facilitate access to patient centred consultations about any aspect from adolescent menstruation to menopause and pelvic floor concerns in later life.

Dr Emily Ingram is a General Practitioner with a specific interest in women’s health. Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Tasmania in 2015, and has gained valuable clinical experience at the Launceston General Hospital and the Austin Hospital in Melbourne. She completed her General Practice training in Launceston with her extended skills placement in sexual and reproductive health.   She also completed a Master of Public Health in 2021 through the University of Tasmania. Emily is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Emily has worked at Family Planning Tasmania since 2019 and completed the FPAA National Certificate of Sexual and Reproductive Health.  She is currently completing a Certificate in Vulval Dermatology through Dermatology Australasia. 

Emily offers comprehensive, patient-centered care, providing support in areas such as cervical screening, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), vulval skin conditions, vulvovaginal health, pelvic organ prolapse, pre-pregnancy planning, contraceptive options including Implanon and IUD insertion, and perimenopause and menopause management.  Emily has an interest in the management of chronic pelvic pain with a holistic approach to identifying and managing pelvic pain triggers.  She is also passionate about helping women, including adolescents, with painful or heavy periods. Emily is committed to ensuring women receive compassionate, evidence-based care throughout every stage of life.

Outside of her medical practice, Emily enjoys spending time with her young family and running.
